Saudi Arabia sent its first communication satellite into ‘SGS Van’ orbit. This satellite was sent to the center of the French Guiana Space Center in South America.
According to the Al-Arabiya News report, this is the first communication satellite owned solely by Saudi Arabia and will be operated and controlled by groundwater stations in the country.
The King Abdul Azeed Science and Technology Team team has developed a collaboration with the US company ‘Lockheed Martin.’
The report said that this satellite would provide communication capabilities to Saudi Arabia, will strengthen the Internet’s communications, and secure connection in the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe.
It is clear that Saudi-born covenant Prince Mohammed bin Salman had signed the last piece of the satellite in San Francisco during the US visit last year in April.
