Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 Launch Date, Specs

Samsung Galaxy Watch

Samsung is going to release it’s Samsung Active Watch 2 soon in the upcoming month. They lastly released their first version of Samsung Watch, and now they have announced a newer version that is said to be released on August 7, 2019. Rumors are out that this watch will have ECG feature built-in, but that version of the watch with ECG feature might not be available until 2020.

Unlike the last watch by Samsung, this watch as well comes in two different sizes that are 46mm and 42mm. These two sizes are a little bit smaller than the previous version of Samsung galaxy watch, but it is not a problem for the users.

Rumors are out that this watch will be launched on the same day when Samsung galaxy note 10 will be released, both releases are expected on August 7. The price of this watch is expected at the same rate as its first version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch. The price of the previously released version was £279 for the 42mm version and £299 for the larger 46mm model.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch will not use WearOS or watchOS that is mostly used in wearable devices. The Tizen OS is used in this new Samsung Galaxy Watch. This OS does not provide much thirds party apps support as they were available in Wear OS.

Previous Samsung Galaxy Watch can’t be charged without its specific wireless charger. So if you were out for some days, your battery would be dead and you could not use your watch if you had forgotten your wireless charger at home but with the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 this problem is solved now, new Samsung watch could be charged with any standard wireless charger, so you do not have to worry much about your specific charger.

Tizen OS has another downside to it as well; it uses Bixby rather than the Google Assistant. Problem with Bixby is that it is not good enough like Google Assistant and Siri because Bixby simply struggles with the Samsung Galaxy Watch, that is why Bixby is of no good use.

Some versions of Samsung Galaxy Watch supports LTE, but they are only limited to a small number of networks, but on Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 it is expected that we see LTE model on more of the networks so that it provides an option for everyone.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch provides a 4-day battery life with its fitness tracking features. Every part of this watch is packed in a beautiful, circular silver and black watch casing that gives it an elegant look with a rotating bezel. This watch suits well with Samsung phones, but if you are still using an iPhone, then be aware because it lacks third-party app support for iOS users.

A huge drawback for this watch is that it supports very less third party apps, there is no support for Google-Maps, Facebook, Messenger, and Whatsapp but still this watch is Stylish and useful, and it works best with all the Samsung phones.
