Both of these Macbooks provide a Touch ID fingerprint sensor for Authentication and Security and Force Touch trackpad.

These two MacBooks come with USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports. One of these two ports in Macbooks is needed for charging. If you want more ports like VGA, HDMI ports for other purposes then you have to buy third party adapters for this purpose.

Battery Life of Macbook Air & Pro:

Both of the devices have a good battery life, but again the Macbook Air has a slight edge here as well. The battery of Macbook Air lasts up to 13 hours while surfing the web, whereas the battery of Macbook Pro lasts up to 10 hours.

MacBook Pro has a bigger 58.2 watt-hour lithium battery whereas Air features a 49.9 watt-hour battery. The brighter display of Macbook Pro consumes more battery faster.

Pricing of both Apple devices:

New Macbook Air pricing starts from $1,099 for its base model with a Core i5 Processor, 8 gigabytes of RAM and 128 GB of storage capacity. The 256GB variant will cost you about $1,299 and 512 GB version will cost you $1,499, and the most significant 1 Tera-Byte version will cost you $1,699.

On the other hand, the Macbook Pro starts at $1,299 slightly higher than Air with a Quad-core i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, and 128GB of storage capacity. The processor can be upgraded to core i7 by spending $300 more. You can upgrade RAM to 16 GB as well for $200 more and for 256 GB storage you can spend $200 as well.
